Postcards

Project Overview

Josh has designed postcards for Save-the-Date events, luncheons, class reunions, tailgating events, and Thank You notes to donors. Because they aren’t as formal as a letter or using an outer envelope, it’s important to design something that will maximize readability and be concise enough to grab the attention but thorough enough to detail what the actionable items are (how to RSVP, who to contact for questions, etc.)

2018 March Passing Periods Luncheon
Size: 8 x 5 inches
Paper: 12 pt Tango C1S
Finishing: Glossy on front, matte on back
Number Produced: 1,300
Theme: Honoring Two Great Central Athletes
Notes: Luncheons are held twice a year, and I try to differentiate the style of the two while still using the same title font for the event. This design just made sense to me, since they were both very successful athletes. I thought the pictures popped nicely on that purple wooden background

2017 OmahaGives Thank You
Size: 8 x 5 inches
Paper: 12 pt Tango C1S
Finishing: Glossy on front, matte on back
Number Produced: 300
Theme: Mission Accomplished

2018 Generation “C” Football Tailgate
Size: 6 x 4 inches
Paper: 12 pt Tango C1S
Finishing: Glossy on front, matte on back
Number Produced: 250
Theme: Are You Ready For Some Football?
Notes: With a wordplay on the popular Monday Night Football slogan, the theme for this postcard was just to be a little more edgy than some of the other postcards I’ve done. I like letting imagery tell the story, and I thought this picture was just perfect for this postcard.

2017 October Passing Periods Luncheon
Size: 8 x 5 inches
Paper: 12 pt Tango C1S
Finishing: Glossy on front, matte on back
Number Produced: 1,375
Theme: The Chaos Between Bells
Notes: I found this incredible picture in an old yearbook showing just how packed the school hallways can be in between classes. Because our luncheon series name is “Passing Periods,” I thought this design would be appreciated by our alumni.
